Real Estate Is An Exciting and Rewarding Career! We are looking for a few more qualified people to join us. Please read the information below to see if you have what it takes to join us. To become a licensed as a Real Estate Agent in the State of Kansas, the Kansas Real Estate Commission requires the following: 1. You must be 18 years of age or older. 2. You must have your High School Diploma or its equivalent. 3. Completion of a 30-hour Principles of Real Estate course approved by the Commission. 4. Pass both parts (general and State) of a licensing examination within 12 months of the course completion date. 5. File an Application for License within 4 months of the examination pass date (if the two parts of the examination were passed on different dates, the 4 month time period begins from the earlier examination date). 6. Application must be signed by a supervising or branch Broker who certifies that the applicant is honest, trustworthy and of good reputation and who will be responsible for supervising the applicant's Real Estate activities (an original license cannot be issued on an inactive status). There are several options for available for pre-license classes. These options range from home study classes to weekend workshops. The cost of these classes vary. Call us for more details. (Please be aware that it costs you approximately $2,000 to get started as a Realtor with any agency you join).
